Established in 2018
Bartender Copenhagen was founded in 2018 by Manuel Lica, a passionate individual who moved to Copenhagen to pursue his studies in Service Hospitality, Tourism, and Management. As a student seeking a job, Manuel’s journey began with a passion for meeting new people and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
“I started my career working in various places around Copenhagen, from collecting glasses in bodegas to managing hotel bars and restaurants. However, I quickly realized that I craved something more dynamic and fulfilling. The monotony of the bar scene pushed me to take a new direction – becoming a freelance bartender for private events.” – Manuel Lica, Founder.
From that pivotal decision, Bartender Copenhagen was born.
In 2019, Manuel began collaborating with notable event agencies such as the Copenhagen Cocktail Academy and now SPITZE AGENCY. His dedication led him to bartend for hundreds of corporate events, working with renowned clients like Google, Ferrari, and Brandwatch, as well as private luxury events and film galas.
Over the years, Manuel has successfully led teams ranging from 2 to 50 people, managing large-scale events such as Distortion with skill and precision.

achievments
Our founders dedication and passion have been recognized through several prestigious accolades in the bartending world. In 2024, he won the Danish Championship in Mocktails with his non-alcoholic creation made from infused rum with hibiscus. As a certified sommelier in spirits and a holder of a degree in Service Hospitality, Business, and Management, Manuel continues to push the boundaries of mixology. In September 2024, he also took home the Danish finals for the Monin Low is More competition with a signature low-ABV cocktail and went for the global final in France.
